15 Best Laser Printers

Laser printers are a great choice for those who need to print a lot of cheap documents. Such devices are quite easy to maintain and use, they are inexpensive to refill, they have a high print resource. How to choose the best model with a laser principle of operation is described in this article. The topic will be closed by a review of the 15 best laser printers.

How to choose a good laser printer

To make a laser printer a real help, you should evaluate the following parameters when choosing:

  1. monthly load. This indicator characterizes how many copies can be made on the printer per month, so as not to increase the wear of its components. Accordingly, you should first calculate the monthly workflow of a house or enterprise and buy the model that can handle it.
  2. Paper size. Almost all modern printers are designed for A4 and smaller sheets with different weights and different types (paper, stickers, etc.), but there are also different models, for example, some devices can print on A3 paper.
  3. Speed — this is an actual indicator if you need to print a lot and quickly. For a home, 18–20 pages is considered a good value, and for an office, at least 25 ppm is desirable.
  4. duplex printing. This is a function that automatically makes a copy on both sides of the sheet without human intervention, which greatly saves time.
  5. Permission. For home printing, 600 dpi is sufficient, but in some cases, higher image quality is required, so in such a situation, you should make a choice based on your own requirements.
  6. Memory. If the printer is equipped with it, then it is easier for him to work with heavy documents such as PDF.
  7. Supported OS. Typically printers are Windows oriented, but depending on the needs of the user, some of them offer Linux, MacOS, and Android or iOS mobile systems.
  8. First page output usually the longest. For the home, this characteristic is not particularly important, and if we are talking about the office, then a good indicator should not exceed 15 seconds.
  9. Connection. It is carried out via a USB cable to one PC, LAN for use in a wired local area network or Wi-Fi for a wireless network. Which option is more convenient depends on the needs of the user.

People complain about the high cost of native cartridges. We refill such cartridges for 300 rubles. In addition, “non-native” analogues appeared on sale. You can find budget options

Ilya K. The printer was purchased for making photomasks of printed circuit boards. He copes with this task perfectly. It prints almost without gaps on a transparent film, the photoresist is illuminated normally. Pleased with the absence of image distortion, typical for most laser printers.

Andrew 1. Quality color printing
2. Low cost device
3. Network printing (Ethernet)

Dmitry Belov Objectively satisfied with the model, not disappointed with the purchase. Works flawlessly so far. What will happen next, we’ll see. The quality of printing in general of this company is a recognized fact.

Igor Efimov It is very convenient to print, both over the network from a stationary computer, and from a tablet and phone. Easily made friends with Apple devices. Ability to print through an HP account. Replaces fax. In a word — I recommend))

Viktor Tsimbalistov Quick setup, printing via Wi-Fi from any phone, put it on the cabinet and doesn’t bother anyone, the print quality is on the level!

The best laser MFPs

For those who not only print documents, but often make photocopies or scans, the best choice would be a multifunctional model, which is a laser printer with a copier and a scanner. A selection of such devices will be the conclusion of the rating.

1. Brother DCP-L2520DWR

This device combines three functions and at the same time remains quite small, which makes it a popular solution for buying an apartment. Its performance is 26 pages per minute, the output of the first takes 8.5 seconds. The model comes with a 1200-page cartridge, but higher-capacity options are sold separately. The printer is quiet, supports Wi-Fi and AirPrint, as well as cloud storage. Declared compatible with Android, Linux, Mac OS, Windows, iOS.

Advantages:

  • small sizes;
  • wireless connection;
  • high performance;
  • ease of setting.

Flaws:

  • flimsy lid;
  • no duplex printing.

Sandro A little advice! When removing the packaging materials, you must remove the orange part before installing the cartridge. When you do this, do not pull the tape with great force, but lightly pull it, as shown in the illustration in the instructions, and the orange part will be removed.

Konstantin Shulyukin Durable printer, supports WSD / IP, refillable cartridge, drum life is more than the declared 12000, looks nice

Vladimir Yu. Bought 5 of these printers. The very first one is already 8 years old! Cartridges have analogues for 500 rubles. They work like a Kalashnikov assault rifle.

aaaaa a. I recommend, I buy not the first such device, it costs the same at work. 3 years of work, a lot of paper has gone through it. there was no repair.
