In an advanced smart­phone from Sam­sung, there are two schemes for installing and acti­vat­ing SIM cards:

• Nano-SIM + Nano-SIM — two phys­i­cal cards in a stan­dard tray.
• Nano-SIM + eSIM — one phys­i­cal and one dig­i­tal card.

ESIM is an embed­ded dig­i­tal SIM card that replaces the plas­tic coun­ter­part. The ben­e­fits of an eSIM are sim­i­lar to those of e‑books or tick­ets. The infor­ma­tion is loaded after scan­ning the QR code direct­ly into the smart­phone chip. You don’t need to take out the tray, you don’t have to wor­ry about los­ing the plas­tic car­ri­er either. Google Pixel 6 Pro is the best software

The flag­ship Pix­el 6 Pro sup­ports both eSim and nano-SIM. Instal­la­tion and con­nec­tion schemes are sim­i­lar to Sam­sung S22 Ultra. Tray — for one or two tra­di­tion­al SIM cards, func­tions in the phone — for one eSIM. The lay­out (2 + 0 or 1 + 1) is cho­sen by the user. The deci­sion can be changed at any time.

At the begin­ning of 2022, users com­plained about the high pow­er con­sump­tion of the mobile net­work with two active SIM cards. Nothing Phone 1 — the most beautiful and unusual

The out­landish device sup­ports two SIM-cards in a sin­gle ver­sion — nano-SIM + nano-SIM in the tray. Both car­ri­ers are plas­tic. Dig­i­tal eSIM can­not be acti­vat­ed.

When it seemed that the design would no longer sur­prise any­one, Noth­ing Phone made a splash with pho­tos of the release ver­sion. The front side is noth­ing unusu­al, but an amaz­ing pic­ture opens up behind. A mix­ture of cyber­punk, high-tech and tech­no gen­res cre­ate the device of the future. The iron fill­ing of Noth­ing Phone 1 is medi­um. The 6.55-inch 120Hz dis­play with HDR10+ is bright and vibrant, but lacks the wow fac­tor. The Snap­drag­on 778G+ chipset is a work­horse with­out the pre­tense of being a pow­er­ful gam­ing proces­sor. But there is a full set of 5G, Blue­tooth 5.2, NFC, Google Pay.

The 4500 mAh bat­tery some­times needs recharg­ing dur­ing the day. There is no charg­er includ­ed, and the wire­less charg­ing speed is only 15W. On aver­age, it will take 65–76 min­utes to charge the phone to 100%. But all this does not make the smart­phone use­less. Espe­cial­ly if you do not for­get about the amaz­ing top-class design.

The cam­era is at an accept­able lev­el. The 50 MP main lens with Sony IMX766 sen­sor and OIS takes good pic­tures in day­light. An ultra-wide lens is not capa­ble of pho­tograph­ing with­out vis­i­ble noise, blur. Night shots from Noth­ing Phone 1 raise ques­tions. You don’t expect mir­a­cles from a smart­phone for 28,000. But the Poco X4 Pro 5G is strik­ing in design. With a pre­mi­um stream­lined shape, rather thin bezels and a thick­ness of only 8.1 mm, the smart­phone looks and feels like flag­ships in the hand. The light falling on the back cov­er is effec­tive­ly refract­ed with a flick­er­ing effect. The pro­tru­sion of the cam­era is neat, in the form of a rec­tan­gu­lar pan­el. Every­thing is strict, but very expres­sive.

An alu­minum frame adds prac­ti­cal­i­ty. The smart­phone is less prone to the trag­ic con­se­quences of impacts after falls. IP53 tech­nol­o­gy pro­tects the hous­ing from dust and splash­es.

The most strik­ing fea­ture of the device is the screen. The 6.67-inch AMOLED dis­play at 120Hz has stun­ning detail. Sup­port for DCI-P3 makes col­ors real­is­tic and rich, HDR10 + adds qual­i­ty when view­ing con­tent. The dis­play sup­ports the always on dis­play func­tion (alerts on the locked screen) and works smooth­ly in any appli­ca­tions.

The game mod­el did not. The Snap­drag­on 695 5G proces­sor is capa­ble of run­ning games at medi­um-high graph­ics set­tings, but does not have ultra-pow­er. There are no gam­ing func­tions and chips in the soft­ware. But the inter­face, appli­ca­tions, web surf­ing — no freezes.

The cam­era of the device with 108 MP sen­sor can take good pic­tures. In the stan­dard 12 MP mode, pho­tos are obtained with lit­tle noise, but with a bal­anced dynam­ic range and decent con­trast. The 8 MP ultra-wide-angle cam­era match­es the price of the device. Detail is accept­able (with HDR — good), there is lit­tle noise. The 2 MP macro cam­era shots are also wor­thy of being in the gallery. The con­trast is not enough, but the detail is nor­mal. The 16 MP self­ie cam­era offers shots with good col­or repro­duc­tion, but aver­age focus when sep­a­rat­ing sub­jects.
