Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is a flagship without obvious weaknesses
In an advanced smartphone from Samsung, there are two schemes for installing and activating SIM cards:
- Nano-SIM + Nano-SIM — two physical cards in a standard tray.
- Nano-SIM + eSIM — one physical and one digital card.
ESIM is an embedded digital SIM card that replaces the plastic counterpart. The benefits of an eSIM are similar to those of e‑books or tickets. The information is loaded after scanning the QR code directly into the smartphone chip. You don’t need to take out the tray, you don’t have to worry about losing the plastic carrier either. There is only one drawback: it is easier for hackers to track or hack a smartphone with an eSIM, which, in fact, is a virtual code. With a plastic counterpart, such a scenario is impossible.

Valuable S22 Ultra is not only two SIM-cards. The smartphone confirms the flagship status with a chic 6.8‑inch AMOLED display with LTPO — adaptive screen frequency adjustment (up to 120 Hz). Ultra-smooth, incredibly crisp and bright, the WQHD+ display is a benchmark that rivals Apple’s displays. Games, movies, apps, everything looks great. To save power, the resolution can be downgraded to FHD+. The icons will become a little larger, but visually the quality will “sag” quite a bit.
The device deservedly entered the list of the best camera phones of 2022. The 108 MP camera takes pictures with high detail and realistic contrast, regardless of the light level. The S22 Ultra has a built-in 100x zoom telephoto lens that can bring celestial bodies closer to the user without strong blurring and critical noise. The optional ultra-wide-angle lens gives your shots great detail.

We add a powerful Exynos 2200 processor that can handle games, an S‑Pen stylus for drawing, notes, shell management — and we get an almost perfect smartphone with two SIM cards.

Google Pixel 6 Pro is the best software
The flagship Pixel 6 Pro supports both eSim and nano-SIM. Installation and connection schemes are similar to Samsung S22 Ultra. Tray — for one or two traditional SIM cards, functions in the phone — for one eSIM. The layout (2 + 0 or 1 + 1) is chosen by the user. The decision can be changed at any time.
At the beginning of 2022, users complained about the high power consumption of the mobile network with two active SIM cards. Power consumption in standby mode (waiting and searching) reached 54%. But these figures should not scare. 54% was calculated in relation to other sources of consumption, and not to the total indicator.
And yet, the owners of the Pixel 6 Pro were unhappy with autonomy. Google corrected the software in the next software update, and the battery began to keep stable for at least one day even with two SIM cards installed and connected.

Pixel models are traditionally focused on good shooting quality; these are recognized camera phones. Model 6 Pro is no exception. The 50 MP camera pleases with a decent dynamic range and a set of features that are not found in competing smartphones:
- Magic Eraser — quickly and correctly remove unwanted objects from a photo;
- Face Unblur — for shooting in motion without blurring.

The second 48 MP lens is not inferior to the 50 MP “neighbor”. Optical stabilization and a 4x zoom add up to shots with good detail and the right white balance. The ultra-wide-angle (12 MP) camera will surprise with color reproduction, the front (11 MP) camera with accurate face recognition.
Smart features are just part of the Google Pixel 6 Pro’s intelligent software system. AI technologies correct photos, literally guide the user to the highest quality result of work in specialized camera applications. Running on Android 12, the Pixel 6 Pro does not suffer from a slow interface, all settings are clearly designed.
A smartphone with Google’s proprietary Tensor chip does not suffer in games and applications, and provides comfortable multitasking. The 6.7‑inch QHD+ 120Hz display looks incredibly big, juicy and rich.

- the camera is in the top of the best in its class;
- The software is convenient, fast, beautiful and intelligent;

Xiaomi 12 is a compact flagship with fast charging
The global (global) version of the flagship Xiaomi 12 has support for eSIM out of the box. The smartphone copies the offer of competitors: either put two nano-SIMs, or use one of them digitally.
Xiaomi has heard users who are tired of huge “shovel” phones. The curved display makes the picture visually larger and more realistic. With a 6.28-inch FHD+ 120Hz screen and a tidy 180g body, the Xiaomi 12 has taken a step towards a more appropriately compact design.

The design of the back cover is concise, minimalistic. Xiaomi 12 does not shock with bright touches. Everything is worked out to create an image of a light, conceptual, ergonomic device.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip cannot be stumped by any game or application. The FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate guarantees superb fluidity and color reproduction. With a maximum brightness of 1100 nits, the smartphone works correctly in sunlight. Features and technologies Low Blue Light, HDR10 + and Dolby Vision bring the image to maximum detail and clarity, protect the eyes from strain.
The screen can be placed in line with the display of the iPhone 12 Pro. The only difference is the lack of AdaptiveSync. The refresh rate cannot be changed in steps to conserve battery power.
The Xiaomi 12 camera is a separate and glorious story. The 50MP main lens, 13MP ultra-wide angle, 5MP telemacro and 32MP selfie camera are as good as iPhone 13 sensors. Photos with x2 zoom retain the desired sharpness. The ultra-wide-angle camera is comparable in level to the main one. Macro — almost standard: with good contrast, sharpness, accurate autofocus. Read more in a detailed review-comparison of the Xiaomi 12 camera with the iPhone 13 camera.

Nothing Phone 1 — the most beautiful and unusual
The outlandish device supports two SIM-cards in a single version — nano-SIM + nano-SIM in the tray. Both carriers are plastic. Digital eSIM cannot be activated.
When it seemed that the design would no longer surprise anyone, Nothing Phone made a splash with photos of the release version. The front side is nothing unusual, but an amazing picture opens up behind. A mixture of cyberpunk, high-tech and techno genres create the device of the future. The transparent cover with Glyph Interface (backlight diodes) looks unique. Diode areas play with light during calls, notifications, etc.

The iron filling of Nothing Phone 1 is medium. The 6.55-inch 120Hz display with HDR10+ is bright and vibrant, but lacks the wow factor. The Snapdragon 778G+ chipset is a workhorse without the pretense of being a powerful gaming processor. But there is a full set of 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Google Pay.
The 4500 mAh battery sometimes needs recharging during the day. There is no charger included, and the wireless charging speed is only 15W. On average, it will take 65–76 minutes to charge the phone to 100%. But all this does not make the smartphone useless. Especially if you do not forget about the amazing top-class design.
The camera is at an acceptable level. The 50 MP main lens with Sony IMX766 sensor and OIS takes good pictures in daylight. An ultra-wide lens is not capable of photographing without visible noise, blur. Night shots from Nothing Phone 1 raise questions. It won’t work to become a photographer with a camera, but it’s easy to shoot for yourself, to fill your hand.

Benefits of Nothing Phone 1:
- design, design and more design;
- for an undemanding user, the smartphone camera is normal;
- There is wireless charging.
What is important to know about the smartphone:
- productivity — average;
- the charge is not always enough for the whole day.
Nothing Phone 1 Key Features:
- processor — Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G +;
- display — 6.55 inches, OLED, 120 Hz;
- RAM — 8/12 GB;
- NFC — yes;
- charging — 33/15 W;
- size and weight — 159.2 x 75.8 x 8.3 mm, 194 g.
Poco X4 Pro 5G is the best dual-SIM budget phone
28690 rubles — for this price you can buy a Poco X4 Pro 5G with a flagship display, a good camera and a ten out of ten design. Two SIM cards in the new Poco budget device is a nice addition. Both are installed in the tray and must be nano-SIM format.

You don’t expect miracles from a smartphone for 28,000. But the Poco X4 Pro 5G is striking in design. With a premium streamlined shape, rather thin bezels and a thickness of only 8.1 mm, the smartphone looks and feels like flagships in the hand. The light falling on the back cover is effectively refracted with a flickering effect. The protrusion of the camera is neat, in the form of a rectangular panel. Everything is strict, but very expressive.
An aluminum frame adds practicality. The smartphone is less prone to the tragic consequences of impacts after falls. IP53 technology protects the housing from dust and splashes.
The most striking feature of the device is the screen. The 6.67-inch AMOLED display at 120Hz has stunning detail. Support for DCI-P3 makes colors realistic and rich, HDR10 + adds quality when viewing content. The display supports the always on display function (alerts on the locked screen) and works smoothly in any applications.

The game model did not. The Snapdragon 695 5G processor is capable of running games at medium-high graphics settings, but does not have ultra-power. There are no gaming functions and chips in the software. But the interface, applications, web surfing — no freezes.
The camera of the device with 108 MP sensor can take good pictures. In the standard 12 MP mode, photos are obtained with little noise, but with a balanced dynamic range and decent contrast. The 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera matches the price of the device. Detail is acceptable (with HDR — good), there is little noise. The 2 MP macro camera shots are also worthy of being in the gallery. The contrast is not enough, but the detail is normal. The 16 MP selfie camera offers shots with good color reproduction, but average focus when separating subjects.

Despite the large and bright display, Poco X4 Pro 5G confidently works all day without recharging. The 5000 mAh battery can be charged quickly: in 67 W turbo mode, the process will take 32–35 minutes.
Why buy Poco X4 Pro 5G:
- an inexpensive device with the features of a top smartphone;
- flagship AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz;
- iron power sufficient for everyday work;
- normal camera.

- body plastic;
- On older versions of firmware there were minor slowdowns.

- display — 6.67 inches, AMOLED, 120 Hz, FHD +;
