How the top appeared in the women’s wardrobe

Tops in the mod­ern sense appeared around the 1930s and 1940s: due to a short­age of fab­rics dur­ing the war, fash­ion design­ers then tried to save a few cen­time­ters, there­by cre­at­ing a new type of cloth­ing.

Ini­tial­ly, thanks to this idea, main­ly swimwear was sewn, lat­er the crop top was com­bined with high-waist­ed midi skirts, which ide­al­ly empha­sized the dig­ni­ty of the female fig­ure.

Short tops today have many dif­fer­ent options and vari­eties. They are sewn with long or short sleeves, on wide and thin straps, with­out straps or on one shoul­der. Such mod­els are suit­able main­ly for all girls. Espe­cial­ly in com­bi­na­tion with the right “bot­tom” and styl­ish out­er­wear.
