Any reason not to run beadlocks on a daily driver? – Jeep Wrangler Forum
Thanks for the info. The sidewalls are only 7.
Forum membership has its advantages No, it’s not illegal for a beadlock to have the DOT stamp, but most likely, the manufacturers just don’t feel like paying for the testing to get the stamp when they figure most beadlocks will be on trail rigs.
Years of testing on bsadlocks road have proven that with proper maintenance, Champion Beadlocks are safe for street use.

In fact, if you check out Champion Wheel’s comments on their site you’ll see that beadlocks are actually road legal, but most beadlock wheel manufacturers choose not to stamp their product DOT, thereby hiding from lawsuits behind a smokescreen of vague and often misleading language.
I thought beadlocks weren’t DOT approved for street use for that very reason? DOT approved and I drive on the hwy with no problems. BB code is On. Mine never move, but I do it anyway. Can I drive with my beadlocks on the road?
