This year, at the beginning of June, the most interesting events in the world of computer games fell. With a slight time difference of a few days, the EA Play and E3 exhibitions took place, and of course, each brought a lot of hotly discussed news. EA Play, as always, focused on its own franchise games, while E3 showed us both games from large studios and small indie producers. It is extremely easy to get lost in the new games, so we have gathered all the scattered information together and now we are ready to share with you the most anticipated games!

EA Play

Everyone knows EA, albeit not always in the best light. But what she can do is collect huge franchises under her roof and create very legendary games. We will look at them today.

One of the most anticipated games that has already met its portion of both negative and positive is Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. What can we say, judging by the trailer, the game should become a real competitor to the major releases of last year — exclusive to PS Spider Man and Red Dead Redemption 2. Wars”, should already attract the attention of fans. A separate plus is the recognition of the game as part of the canonical history. And for those who prefer games to movies, the exhibition featured a clip from the game’s walkthrough, filmed in the game’s Xbox engine. It looks very impressive, and the game should be expected in November 2019.

EA also showed what awaits fans of the shooter Apex Legends, namely the new playable character Watson. What distinguishes her is that Watson is an engineer and, unlike DPS characters, focuses on traps and defense. A new weapon will also be added to the game — the L‑Star plasma gun. Also, with the update it is worth waiting for some minor changes and modifications. All this was presented in a touching animated video and presentation, and new items will be included in the game on July 2, so the wait will not be long.

Updates in the form of new maps are coming to other games, such as Battlefield V and Battlefront II. For the second game, this is the map of the planet Naboo, which launches on June 26th.

EA Sports is thinking in terms of the future, so 20 games like FIFA and Madden have already been announced and described. These are all the same games, reworked and updated in accordance with the composition of the teams and the status of the players. FIFA is also looking forward to a new smarter system focused on 1‑on‑1 play, while Madden is looking at the ability of the players.

And of course, not without the legendary “Sims”. The Sims 4 is getting a new addon this summer called Island Living that will give players the ability to send Sims to the tropics, swim with dolphins, and more. Rumor has it that the developers have even hinted that the next addition will be something magical, similar to the Sims 3 Supernatural.

E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show)

Well, everything is clear with EA games, but what about other developers? You can learn about this from the E3 exhibition, where even more new products were presented.

If anyone can beat EA, it’s Square Enix. It was this company that especially distinguished itself in 2019 and presented a lot of interesting things.

The popular Final Fantasy series of games is still not a thing of the past, moreover, its popularity is only growing. That’s why we get a remake of Final Fantasy VII. The game itself was released in 1997, so it’s not surprising that fans were delighted with this news. The project will not stop there and, apparently, other classic games of the series will be reworked. In the meantime, at E3 we saw a trailer that almost drove the fans crazy.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles remastered will be available this winter on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, Octopath Traveler on PC and Steam, The Last Remnant is already available on Xbox 360 and PC. A lot of the company’s games have received revisions or additions.

As for new products, there is also something to see here.

Dying Light 2 is a new open world survival game. At the exhibition, the company presented a trailer with gameplay. Graphics and mood create a very specific atmosphere, and the game itself will be released in the spring of 2020.

Outriders is a new project that the studio is working on, a sci-fi shooter whose trailer looks quite ambitious.

And of course, the most high-profile project that immediately attracted the attention of numerous media is Marvel’s Avengers. The long-awaited game, about which not as much is known as we would like, finally received a trailer, but, unfortunately, the attention was not entirely positive. For example, fans of the characters immediately began to joke about the appearance of the characters in the trailer. But experience shows that the design of the characters can still be changed, but the plot …

The plot of the game is different from films, and from comics or animation. This is a completely new story that exists in its own timeline and sounds very tempting. In addition, it is known that in addition to the campaign for a single player, a multiplayer mode will also be available.

The game will be available on consoles, PC and Google Stadia on May 15, 2020.

Xbox game studios is also continuing its saga with the new release of Halo 6. The trailer of the game was presented at the exhibition, which without a doubt left as many questions as it delighted. The release of the game is scheduled for the holiday season of 2020, and perhaps the main news is not at all in the game itself, but in the new console for which it will be released.

Xbox Project Scarlett is an unnamed Xbox console that will be the next step for the company. So far, we are promised a faster and more advanced console, which will have to provide a comfortable experience and reduce the loading time of games. So far, we know that it will work on an AMD processor and will receive an SSD drive, which will provide developers with new opportunities. Xbox plans to catch up with its rival Sony, and we can’t wait to see if they succeed.

In addition to Halo and Project Scarlett, Microsoft showed Gears [of War] 5 with new skins, a map editor and a three-player online mode, the horror Blair Witch and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and several other new games.

The most viewed trailer was the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt Red. This is another game that will be available on both Xbox One, PS4 and PC. After the first teaser, she created a lot of noise, becoming one of the most anticipated games. Fans were impressed by both the graphics and the plot, and many were also involved in the Keanu Reeves project, which was noted in the new trailer. The action, which is not surprising, takes place in the future, and the player will have to run a lot, fight and shoot. One way or another, the game definitely has every chance of becoming the second Red Dead Redemption. Cyberpunk 2077 releases on April 16, 2020, and more will be revealed later this year.

The notorious Bethesda studio, the author of the legendary games Doom and Skyrim, also did not go unnoticed. Doom Eternal goes beyond hellish expanses and goes to Earth and Mars, where the player will still have to endure hordes of demons. The game Deathloop was also announced, about which so far not much is known, except for the movie trailer. The company also introduced updates for online games ESO and Fallout 76, and of course, several new games.

In addition to large and well-known studios, smaller companies were also noted at the exhibition.

FromSoftware, known to us from the Dark Souls franchise, introduced Elden Ring. It is this game that is the project of the author of “A Song of Ice and Fire”, on which the TV series “Game of Thrones” D. Martin was filmed. It is expected that the game will combine the narrative style familiar to us from the book, and indeed the series, with the brutality and style of Dark Souls. So she will get every chance to become an interesting project for fantasy lovers.

Another project for those who love fantasy is The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics. The game will be released by En Masse Entertainment for the Nintendo Switch. And it will be released just in 2019, in support of the new Netflix series of the same name, which, in turn, will be a prequel to the classic 1982 film The Dark Crystal. The game will certainly get a fascinating plot and will be interesting even to those who have not watched the movie. And you can play it both on a small console and on a big screen.

Definitely, in the near future we will have a huge number of games for both PC and consoles. Experienced gamers know how important a powerful gaming machine is. Such a device can be obtained in Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop Enhanced Edition. The laptop runs on a Core i7 8750H 2200 processor and is equipped with a 15.6‑inch Full HD display with 16 GB of RAM and built-in SSD (256 GB) and HDD (1 TB) memory. The graphics card from NVIDIA has a capacity of 6 GB. The laptop is designed specifically for gamers, because it has a well-thought-out cooling system and powerful features. In addition, you will get numerous connectors, including for external memory cards, and a portable gaming device weighing 2.7 kg. Yes, the laptop is definitely not easy, but it will withstand any game.

Connoisseurs of console games, as always, can choose the device to your taste. It can be either a Sony PlayStation 4 Pro for the best performance, or an Xbox One. Both consoles are quite popular, with the only difference being that Sony offers more exclusive games so far.

For those who appreciate portability, the Nintendo Switch is a compact and stylish console that can connect to a TV or serve as a standalone. It is equipped with special controllers and a large library of games.

Of course, VR gaming should not be ignored either. If you want to immerse yourself in virtual reality, then you can do it on the console and on the PC. In the first case, the Sony PlayStation VR will suit you, and in the second, the HTC Vive helmet with great graphics and sound.

No matter what kind of games you prefer: shooters, MMORPGs, detectives, quests, racing or something else, dozens of different new products are presented at E3 every year. And if you don’t meet the expected release, don’t be discouraged, many studios present their games throughout the year or at their own events. So be patient and join the game!
