Greetings, reader! Not so long ago, I was faced with the question of buying a budget tripod and light in a kit for shooting videos on YouTube. For a novice blogger, I didn’t want to buy something expensive and very cool, so I chose a standard LED ring lamp with a 26cm metal tripod. After looking and studying the device, I realized that it would be a great start in shooting videos, since the price-quality ratio is very decent, although you can correct me in the comments.

Main characteristics

Unpacking, kit overview

This lamp comes with the following kit:

  • LED ring light
  • Two tripods (table and basic)
  • bluetooth button. Works with iOS and ANDROID

Tripod overview

This lamp comes with two tripods. The first is a tabletop tripod. It is adjustable in height by unbending the legs. It also has a screw for mounting a photo or video camera.

The second main tripod has as many as three height adjustments. They are adjusted with special screws. The bottom one regulates the stability on the floor. The second and third screws are responsible for the height. Approximately 210 centimeters high.

The main points in the operation of the lamp are the pros and cons

For beginner bloggers, I think that’s it. I will highlight a few positive points that I liked and that I drew attention to:

  • The first thing I noticed was that this device connects to any power source that has a USB port. At least in a laptop, car, power bank or an ordinary network adapter from a smartphone, so there should be no connection problems.
  • The second point that pleased me is that this lamp works in three color shades: cold, warm and, somewhere in between, neutral white. There are also other options with color RGB backlighting — this is optional for anyone, since I have not yet come up with an application for it.
  • The next point is the brightness adjustment, which is very convenient and it is possible to adjust the lamp for different lighting conditions.
  • The stand of the lamp itself can be tilted and secured with an adjusting screw.
  • The phone mount is also adjustable in several axes, can be twisted for convenience when choosing the orientation of vertical or horizontal shooting

Now what I didn’t like. I won’t dig too hard, because after all, it’s not worth demanding anything more for this money. Therefore, I will highlight a few obvious points, namely:

  • the quality of the materials is the most budgetary and leaves much to be desired
  • a tripod, which becomes less stable on the lamp itself over time and the phone simply starts to hang on it, does not fix in a given position, but simply falls down, you have to dance a little to fix it
  • with a table tripod, a similar story is that the legs simply cease to be fixed and move apart, especially if it stands on a smooth surface such as a table and falls to its initial position
  • well, the extreme moment is that over time, the tripods begin to hang out in the places of the adjusting screws

For the price, you can’t even find fault here, since the ring itself starts at about 300 rubles, complete with tripods and a button from 600 rubles, then the price rises and you can already buy a set with an RSL ring and better tripods. My set cost me about 800 rubles, I think that this price absolutely justifies this set and for this money this is the very thing.

If you, like me, are a beginner blogger, then this kit should be taken into account and even ordered. It can be used not only at home, but also outside the home, for example, in nature, without experiencing any severe difficulties, powering the ring, for example, from a power bank. And the downside is that if you already have a wealth of experience in filming videos, then this device may not be relevant to you.
