Necessary device for a beginner blogger: LED ring lamp with tripod

Greet­ings, read­er! Not so long ago, I was faced with the ques­tion of buy­ing a bud­get tri­pod and light in a kit for shoot­ing videos on YouTube. Tripod overview

This lamp comes with two tripods. The first is a table­top tri­pod. It is adjustable in height by unbend­ing the legs. It also has a screw for mount­ing a pho­to or video cam­era.

The sec­ond main tri­pod has as many as three height adjust­ments. They are adjust­ed with spe­cial screws. The bot­tom one reg­u­lates the sta­bil­i­ty on the floor. The sec­ond and third screws are respon­si­ble for the height. Approx­i­mate­ly 210 cen­time­ters high.

For begin­ner blog­gers, I think that’s it. I will high­light a few pos­i­tive points that I liked and that I drew atten­tion to:

• The first thing I noticed was that this device con­nects to any pow­er source that has a USB port. At least in a lap­top, car, pow­er bank or an ordi­nary net­work adapter from a smart­phone, so there should be no con­nec­tion prob­lems.
  

  

• The sec­ond point that pleased me is that this lamp works in three col­or shades: cold, warm and, some­where in between, neu­tral white. There are also oth­er options with col­or RGB back­light­ing — this is option­al for any­one, since I have not yet come up with an appli­ca­tion for it.

• The next point is the bright­ness adjust­ment, which is very con­ve­nient and it is pos­si­ble to adjust the lamp for dif­fer­ent light­ing con­di­tions.
  

  

• The stand of the lamp itself can be tilt­ed and secured with an adjust­ing screw.
  

  

• The phone mount is also adjustable in sev­er­al axes, can be twist­ed for con­ve­nience when choos­ing the ori­en­ta­tion of ver­ti­cal or hor­i­zon­tal shoot­ing
  

  

Now what I did­n’t like. I won’t dig too hard, because after all, it’s not worth demand­ing any­thing more for this mon­ey. There­fore, I will high­light a few obvi­ous points, name­ly:

• the qual­i­ty of the mate­ri­als is the most bud­getary and leaves much to be desired
• a tri­pod, which becomes less sta­ble on the lamp itself over time and the phone sim­ply starts to hang on it, does not fix in a giv­en posi­tion, but sim­ply falls down, you have to dance a lit­tle to fix it
• with a table tri­pod, a sim­i­lar sto­ry is that the legs sim­ply cease to be fixed and move apart, espe­cial­ly if it stands on a smooth sur­face such as a table and falls to its ini­tial posi­tion
• well, the extreme moment is that over time, the tripods begin to hang out in the places of the adjust­ing screws

Price

For the price, you can’t even find fault here, since the ring itself starts at about 300 rubles, com­plete with tripods and a but­ton from 600 rubles, then the price ris­es and you can already buy a set with an RSL ring and bet­ter tripods. My set cost me about 800 rubles, I think that this price absolute­ly jus­ti­fies this set and for this mon­ey this is the very thing.

Conclusion

If you, like me, are a begin­ner blog­ger, then this kit should be tak­en into account and even ordered. It can be used not only at home, but also out­side the home, for exam­ple, in nature, with­out expe­ri­enc­ing any severe dif­fi­cul­ties, pow­er­ing the ring, for exam­ple, from a pow­er bank. And the down­side is that if you already have a wealth of expe­ri­ence in film­ing videos, then this device may not be rel­e­vant to you.
